The attractive 'OXO' model was released in 1982.

Variations/Rarities: It can be found painted red or slightly darker red with a black baseplate and van roof.
After the initial production run, the tools were modified to allow more metal into the cab roof area; which resulted in a raised, slightly textured rectangular panel. The earliest vans can be found with a smooth cab roof (Type 1) or the later versions have a 3mm wide smooth border and a textured center (Type 2).
The 'Oxo' van saw the introduction of a glazed clear Perspex window.
It usually has brown plastic seats & interior but the one to look for has red seats because this version is rare.
Due to density variations of the white ink, the colour of the word 'OXO' and of the Oxo cube varies from white to pink.
It comes with either 12 or usually 24 spoke chrome wheels or smooth chrome wheels with whitewall tyres.

Interesting Facts: Bright red plastic seat, dashboard and cab rear partition components had been used in pre-production trials and the remainder of those were used during the first production run.
